In conceiving our approach to breathing new life into these remarkable cars, we concluded that it is essential to create exquisitely restored and re-engineered cars across the full range of Range Rover Classics. This means you can select from Standard or Long Wheelbase, either 2 door or 4 door, in city or country configuration and even some of the very special vehicles that have defined one of the most celebrated legacies in automotive history.

Each Range Rover Classic by Lunaz represents an entirely unique expression of the breed, built in the image of its customer. Build allocation is strictly limited to 50 individual vehicles in the first tranche of production, a number selected to mark the first half-century of production of this quintessential British classic.

Scanning creates the 3D CAD models that ensure technical perfection. Traditional coachbuilding and restoration skills come to the fore as the car is stripped down to bare metal. Imperceptible body defects are addressed by hand before the surface finish and the paint process begins.

No car in the world marries utility and comfort like the Range Rover Classic. We understand that each car will augment the lifestyle of its customer in different ways. We have therefore created distinctive specifications to reflect the multifaceted role a Range Rover plays in the life of its owner.

Town: This specification responds to the needs of those that require more emphasis on rear and front seat comfort for urban use. Reflecting their dual use as either self-driven luxury vehicles or chauffeured cars. These cars will be available in both standard and long wheelbase.

Country: ‘Country’ specification includes a full suite of engineering, technological and design features that augment a full electric classic offroading experience for the first time. Material palettes, defined in consultation with the Lunaz design team, will reflect the more utilitarian use for these vehicles. This will include a 4-wheel drive system, updated suspension including antiroll bars and uprated brakes.

Safari: Highly specialised vehicles stand as one of the most compelling stories in the classic Range Rovers remarkable legacy. We have worked to further the legacy of these cars with the inclusion of the iconic roofless design first seen in the James Bond film, Octopussy.

These ‘Safari specification’ vehicles will stand as the most individual examples of the marque in the world.

The Lunaz colour palette represents a balanced spectrum of choices, created with full consideration for the form and spirit of the car. We bring beautiful lines to life through a blend of cutting edge pigment technology and the curatorial eye of the designer.

These colour schemes are entirely unique to Lunaz and offer our clients the individual scope to dictate their own vision. Whether this a contemporary interpretation of classic proportions or a nod to the car’s heritage.

The exterior palette is complemented by an extensive library of material treatments and colourways. A Lunaz interior does not have to be specified in traditional leather. Every electrified Aston Martin DB6 by Lunaz will undergo an exhaustive bare-metal restoration and re-engineering process to ensure the car represents a perfect example of an electrified classic.

Each corner is meticulously weighed to understand the original weight distribution to the gram. This information informs decisions on chassis setup, powertrain packaging and suspension. The internal combustion engine and associated systems are then sensitively removed and stored on behalf of the client before the chassis is prepared for re-engineering and electrification.

A commitment to reducing waste and impact wherever possible informs the restoration process throughout. Substrates are painstakingly restored in-house within a specialist fabrication department, which is then enhanced by Lunaz’s collective of highly skilled trim specialists. The result is an entirely renewed interior, crafted with the requirements of contemporary use but with a profound sensitivity to each individual vehicle’s heritage.

Jo and her team lead clients through a process that allows every interior and exterior surface, material and function to be re-imagined. The process begins with a consultative exploration of the tastes and requirements of the client.

The overall philosophy of ‘upcycling’ that informs the Lunaz proposition is expressed in an array of materials that take what already exists and finds new purpose. This can even extend to interiors free from animal-derived materials and the specification of carpets which are woven from fishing nets recovered from the sea. 100% recycled textiles are also offered throughout the cabin environment, in harmony with bio-content constructed materials.

The Aston Martin DB6 marries brisk initial acceleration with the requirements of a classic car that is very much built in the mode of a Grand Tourer. Indeed, the instant torque and silent delivery of an electric powertrain perfectly augments the intended use for long continental journeys with mixed road conditions.

Supreme driveability is ensured through the up-rating of brakes, suspension and steering, whilst read-outs for battery status and other contemporary functions are seamlessly integrated in the pure spirit of the original aesthetic.
